Lexington Fence Experts

Terms of use

What this site is for

This website describes, in general terms, how residential fences are built and repaired, how Bluegrass clay, shallow limestone, freeze and thaw cycles, rolling ground and storms affect them, and the order in which the work usually happens. It also connects homeowners around Lexington with a fence contractor who works in the area.

General information, not professional advice

No page here is a survey, an engineering opinion or legal advice, and none of it forecasts how a given city, county, the Urban County Government or a homeowners association will rule on a given property. It describes how fence work typically unfolds.

Soil, slope, boundary lines, permit practice and neighborhood rules differ between properties, and every governing body has the final say over its own requirements. Read this material as background only, never as a replacement for an inspection of your own property or for advice from a professional you engage for the job.

No prices on this site

This website does not quote prices, and no price should be read into anything published on it. The contractor sets the cost after seeing the property, since only then is enough known to give a fair answer.
